Crystal Coast Tents and Events is the name in equipment rentals for Crystal Coast Weddings, and with over 2000 weddings under their belt, Chris and Heather have seen it all. In his seventh year with the company, Chris now sees at least one wedding every weekend, and takes pride in serving an integral role in every ceremony and reception. It’s about more than just equipment. Chris works alongside the brides, planners, coordinators, caterers and many other vendors to streamline the wedding planning process and make sure everyone every last detail is taken care of. So, as you can imagine, he’s seen it all.
What does Chris want you to know about planning your wedding? Plan ahead! Most commonly, he sees brides who wait until 30 days before their wedding to rent equipment, when everything they need might not be readily available. Chris recommends scheduling your rentals 6-8 months in advance, or even a year for a spring wedding.
Here’s the number 1 thing brides forget.
You may be surprised to know that, in seven years, Chris has seen some brides commonly forget some vitally important pieces of the wedding puzzle. The number 1 thing brides forget to rent? Basic utensils! All too often, brides forget to arrange for china, flatware, and glasses at their wedding, especially if they choose to hold their wedding outdoors where the venue owners wouldn’t supply these basic necessities.
“Some restaurants and caterers, like Floyd’s 1921, give the option of a china package,” Chris says. “These are the things you need to look into.” Always double check to make sure that the caterer, venue, and rental coordinator are on the same page.
Chris has a degree in design from East Carolina University, and a minor in Business. To learn more about Crystal Coast Tents and Events and view some of their work from Crystal Coast weddings, visit their vendor page here.
